Assembly Budget - DRP Hearings
The Assembly Ways and Means Committee will be conducting public hearings on Wednesday, October 21, in Albany, and Friday, October 23, in Syracuse, to seek input from the public on the Governor's Deficit Reduction Plan.

Senator Monserrate
Senator Hiram Monserrate was found not guilty on two felony and one misdemeanor count, but was found guilty on a third degree assault misdemeanor .  This ruling will not impact his ability to remain a state senator, however he could still be sanctioned by the Senate under their house rules.

Assembly Public Hearings
SUNY has presented testimony recently at two public hearings conducted by Assembly.  On 10/6, the Assembly Standing Committee on Higher Education held a public hearing on "The New York Higher Education Loan Program (NYHELPs)"

On 10/13, the Assembly Standing Committees on Health, Labor, Education, Higher Education, and the Subcommittee on Workplace Safety held a public hearing on "H1N1 Influenza"
