SUNY Day 2009

 SUNYDay2009

For more than 20 years, the Office of Government Relations has been coordinating SUNY Day, which provides our campus presidents, students and other representatives an annual opportunity to gather in Albany to advocate for SUNY's budget request directly with the State Legislature as its members conclude their budget discussions for the fiscal year. In coordination with the event and throughout the year, many campuses also reach out to their alumni who work in the Legislature to remind them of the ongoing needs of their alma mater.

SUNY Day 2009, which was held February 24, was once again a great success, with nearly all of our campuses participating. System Administration and the Office of Government Relations would like to thank the campus representatives who participated; and Governor Paterson and our legislative leaders for taking the time to address the group.
