ARRA Funding Notices by way of New York State

Environmental Facilities Corporation
Green Innovation Grants Program (GIGP)  - The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) authorized that not less than 20% of economic stimulus funding provided for the State Revolving Funds (SRFs) be used for green infrastructure.  Of the $432 million in stimulus funds appropriated for the New York Clean Water SRF, $86.5 million will be available for green infrastructure projects.  Of the $86.8 million in stimulus funds appropriated for the New York Drinking Water SRF, $17.36 million will be available for green infrastructure projects.
 
For projects that qualify for the GIGP, EFC will provide grants subject to availability of ARRA funds.  These projects will be listed in Category G of the Clean Water SRF Intended Use Plan (IUP), EFC will be accepting applications for GIGP projects through a separate application process for listing in the IUP.  Drinking Water projects also may apply for GIGP funds. GIGP projects must meet the applicable requirements of the ARRA and SRF programs.

Program Summary This Request for Proposals (RFP) provides Statewide funding for the installation of energy conservation measures including: energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean fleet projects. This program is made available as part of NYSERDA's administration of the State Energy Program (SEP) funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Eligible Proposers include: municipal governments, public K-12 schools, public universities or colleges (including SUNY, SUNY community colleges, CUNY, and CUNY community colleges), public and private hospitals, and not-for-profits (defined as a Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) qualifying organization formed prior to February 17, 2009).

Dept of Labor

NYSDOL issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Disconnected Youth Training. Funding for this solicitation is through the federal Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). The Governor and the New York State Workforce Investment Board have allotted up to $2.5 million for this youth initiative. Projects will serve disconnected youth by expanding career awareness, providing dropout prevention services and developing foundation skills and competencies needed to motivate youth to achieve and succeed in their adult and work life.
