A comprehensive residential technical college, SUNY Cobleskill’s small classes and personal attention help students prepare for successful careers. In fact, 98 percent of our graduates go directly to work or continue their education.
The School of Agriculture and Natural Resources offers a variety of programs from agricultural business to the animal and plant sciences. A 650-acre complex provides an outdoor living and learning laboratory.
In the School of Business, students use a level of computer technology that is consistent with industry and expected by employers. The Culinary Arts Program offers applied learning and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the American Culinary Federation. On-the-job internships are required in some majors and result in a job offer 97 percent of the time.
The School of Liberal Arts and Sciences prepares students for transfer into over 50 professional majors in the arts, education, mathematics, social sciences and sciences. An Exploratory Studies Program is offered for undecided students and there is a Honors Program for accelerated learners. In the Early Childhood Program students can pursue a degree in early childhood, child and family services, and child care and development. Research opportunities and field experiences are also available in various majors.
Just 35 miles west of Albany, students have easy access to educational, cultural and recreational resources, New York’s Tech Valley, the Adirondacks, the Catskills—even Cooperstown! We offer dozens of clubs and organizations and a large intercollegiate athletic program.
