Chartered in 1874, SUNY Maritime College has attracted broad recognition as a national leader in higher education. The oldest and largest maritime school in the country, Maritime College is a four-year college located in Throggs Neck, NY. Maritime offers undergraduate degree programs in engineering, business admin./marine transportation, marine environ. sci., humanities, international transportation and trade, and a master's degree in international transportation mgmt. Maritime students pursuing their Coast Guard license participate in three Summer Sea Terms aboard Empire State VI and visit numerous international ports of call. Maritime College is home to the only Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) unit in NYC.
