Hudson Valley Community CollegeHudson Valley Community College is located in New York's Capital Region. The 90-acre campus includes a field-house complex, an on-campus ice arena and a 4,500-seat baseball stadium, which hosts Hudson Valley's nationally ranked baseball team as well as the Tri-City ValleyCats, a Class A affiliate of the Houston Astros. Hudson Valley also boasts specialized labs for programs ranging from automotive technology to telecommunications, and a 350-seat performance center, which draws top musical and dance acts from across the nation each semester. Hudson Valley has a long history of supporting its academic programs with cutting-edge technology. Examples of this include the Bulmer Telecommunications Center, which houses computer labs, audio/video production studios and a 215-seat auditorium. The Guenther Enrollment Services Center is another example of Hudson Valley's ongoing efforts to support its student population through technology: the renovation of Guenther Hall into the 55,000-square-foot Guenther Enrollment Services Center required gutting a 1950s-era administration building and turning it into a contemporary student-focused service center. The Siek Campus Center is also undergoing renovations that will make the College's most popular place to relax more attractive and comfortable. While 80 percent of Hudson Valley's students come from the Capital Region, the overall student population includes students from nearly all of the counties of New York State, many other states and dozens of foreign countries.
