GENESEE COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Genesee's main campus in Batavia is located within an hour's drive of Buffalo and Rochester, near Thruway exit 48. Its seven buildings connect to form a mall-like, all-indoor college campus.
Opened in January of 2006, the Wolcott J. Humphrey III Student Union provides 10,000 square feet of space for students' use. It houses a café, computer stations, pool, ping pong and air hockey tables, and conference rooms for student government and club meetings.
The campus hub is the William W. Stuart Forum, a three-story enclosed courtyard used as a meeting place, for presentations, and to stage events like Genesee's annual fashion show.
The College's Alfred C. O'Connell Library features mission-style furnishings for quiet study and computer workstations for access to an increasing number of Internet-based research resources.
The Conable Technology Building houses classrooms and computer labs dedicated to technological instruction. It is also home to the College's media production facilities and distance-learning lab. Every room in the technology building offers Internet connections and modern audio and visual capabilities.
The Genesee Center for the Arts is home to the Stuart Steiner Theatre. It also houses dressing rooms, a set construction workshop, the College's drafting lab, the Macintosh Digital Art Lab, and ceramics and dance studios.
The Anthony J. Zambito Gymnasium includes a pool, fitness center, and hardwood courts.
The College also has campus centers in Arcade and Warsaw in Wyoming County; Albion in Orleans County; and Lakeville and Dansville in Livingston County.
