Dutchess Community College

Dutchess Community College (DCC), situated on 130 scenic acres in Poughkeepsie, has an excellent reputation for providing students with a first-class education. The mission of the College is to provide the best possible educational opportunity to all students in all programs.

The College has been serving the residents of Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley for almost 50 years. We offer 60 different academic programs, and award associate degrees in liberal arts, science, and applied science. Our curriculums include career-oriented programs, and one- and two-year certification programs in addition to academic programs designed for transfer to a four-year college or university.

The College offers a comprehensive teacher education transfer program that covers birth through grade 12. Recently added programs include american sign language/spanish option, fire and occupational safety, fire protection, aviation, and a general studies transfer program.

One-third of all Dutchess County public high school graduates attend the College, including many of the county's best students. One of our finest trademarks is the success of our graduates. Of the more than 30,000 DCC alumni, the majority make their home in the Hudson Valley, and many of those people have become civic and community leaders in their villages, towns, and counties.
