College of Environmental Science
The College of Environmental Science & Forestry (ESF) is the premier college in the United States for the study of environmental and natural sciences, engineering, planning and design, policy and management of our natural resources and the environment. If you are interested in making a difference in these areas then ESF is the best place to Improve Your World!
ESF's academic programs serve some of the largest and most productive sectors of the national and international economies. Students are broadly educated, prepared to take on responsibilities as citizens, and trained to be problem-solvers, managers and leaders.
ESF graduates obtain good jobs and are admitted to the nation's best graduate schools. 96 percent are employed or enrolled in advanced study within six months of graduation.
Students studying for bachelor degrees attend the College's Syracuse campus. Their academic, cultural and social lives are enhanced through partnership with next-door neighbor Syracuse University, where students access all of the University's resources at the cost of SUNY tuition and fees. Students pursue associate degree programs in forest technology and land surveying technology at our Ranger School campus at Wanakena, in the heart of the six-million-acre Adirondack State Park.
