Broome Community CollegeGetting extra help in the writing center...finishing up an assignment in one of the dozens of open computer labs...attending a hockey game in the ice center...getting a Subway sub in the food court...talking online with your classmates about yesterday's lecture...participating via distance learning with off-campus fellow students...working out in the fitness center...visiting with your favorite teacher over a cup of coffee...hanging out in the Cybercafe. These are all images of life at Broome Community College(BCC). Broome has grown into a campus of 16 buildings on 223-acres, with 31 degree-granting programs, diploma programs in 18 fields of study, and certificate programs in four fields. Major courses of study include business and office technologies, engineering and computing, health sciences, liberal arts and general studies, and human and public services. Complementing this diverse curriculum are student activities such as student assembly, curriculum clubs, instrumental music clubs, choir, service organizations and theatre groups, as well as an excellent athletics program, with 13 men's and women's varsity teams and extensive athletic facilities, including a new full-service ice center. The programs of study that make sense for the future, professors who are experts in their field, state-of-the-art facilities and opportunities to make lifelong friendships—it's all available at BCC.
