Subject:	Special Service Commendation to Bonny G. Boice 


Action Requested

	The proposed resolution recognizes Bonny G. Boice for her invaluable leadership to the SUNY community during her time as interim president of The Research Foundation for The State University of New York (Research Foundation). 

Resolution

	I recommend that the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution:

Whereas Bonny G. Boice served as the Research Foundation’s chief executive leader from May 26, 2011 through July 8, 2012 having provided invaluable leadership, insight and oversight during a period of great challenge, change and transition; and

Whereas Bonny G. Boice has been instrumental in steering the Research Foundation to be a best-in-class partner with a strategic vision that aligns with the Power of SUNY; and

Whereas Bonny G. Boice has renewed the Research Foundation’s essential focus to fulfill its mission to serve SUNY with transparency and accountability to the public trust; and



Whereas Bonny G. Boice successfully partnered with the SUNY Board of Trustees, the SUNY BOT Committee on Research and Economic Development, staff and other key stakeholders across SUNY and the state to build a new and revived platform for collaborative effort that advances the Research Foundation – SUNY relationship for the benefit of SUNY and New York; and

Whereas Bonny G. Boice has been a key driver of the Research Foundation’s work to build and advance an innovation ecosystem in support of SUNY and the Entrepreneurial Century and New York State’s economic development; now, therefore, be it 

Resolved Bonny G. Boice receives the deepest appreciation and broadest gratitude for her outstanding interim leadership of the Research Foundation, her contributions to SUNY and the Entrepreneurial Century, and her unparalleled dedication and selfless service to The State University of New York.
