Subject:	Appointment of Brian Hutzley as Vice Chancellor for Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer


Action Requested

	The proposed resolution appoints Brian Hutzley as Vice Chancellor for Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer of the State University.

Resolution

      I recommend that the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution:

Resolved that Brian Hutzley be, and hereby is, appointed Vice Chancellor for Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer of the State University of New York, effective immediately;  and, be it further

Resolved that Mr. Hutzley will be compensated at an annual salary of $210,000, subject to review and increase in accordance with the provisions of the State University Salary and Compensation Plan.

Background 

      By Res. 2011-082, adopted June 30, 2011, Brian Hutzley was appointed Interim Vice Chancellor for Financial Services and Chief Financial Officer of the State University. 

      Under the Policies of the Board, senior officers of the State University at the level of vice chancellor or above are appointed by the Board of Trustees and serves at the pleasure of the Board.  Such officers perform such duties as are assigned by the Board and the Chancellor.
