SUBJECT:	Appointment of Dr. Steve J. Tyrell as President of North Country Community College

Action Requested
      The proposed resolution approves the appointment of Dr. Steve J. Tyrell as the next president of North Country Community College.

Resolution

	I recommend that the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution:

Resolved that the appointment of Dr. Steven Tyrell as President of North Country Community College, by the North Country Community College Board of Trustees, at a salary of $135,000 effective on or about June 15, 2012, be, and hereby is, approved.  Dr. Tyrell will be provided the use of a campus-owned car and a monthly housing allowance of $1,000.

Background

      I am pleased to recommend your approval of the appointment of 
Dr. Steve J. Tyrell as President North Country Community College, effective on or about June 15, 2012.  Dr. Tyrell succeeds President Carole Brown, who retired effective April 30, 2012
