Revised M E M O R A N D U M December 17, 2012 TO: Members of the Board of Trustees FROM: Nancy L. Zimpher, Chancellor SUBJECT: Appointment of Dr. William J. Murabito as Interim President at the State University of New York at Morrisville I recommend that the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution: Resolved that the appointment of Dr. William J. Murabito as Interim President of the State University of New York at Morrisville, at a State salary of $175,000, beginning on or about January 7, 2013, be and hereby is, approved. This appointment will continue until the Board of Trustees, by resolution, appoints a successor. Background I recommend that Dr. William J. Murabito be appointed Interim President of the State University of New York at Morrisville. Dr. Murabito would serve until the Board of Trustees, by resolution, appoints his successor. Dr. Murabito has an extensive SUNY history. He is a two-time SUNY graduate, having received his B.A. from the State University College at Buffalo, and his M.S. in Student Personnel and Guidance from the State University at Albany. He possesses a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Illinois. In addition, Dr. Murabito has more than 33 years of experience working at the State Univeristy both on SUNY campuses and at System Administration. Most recently, Dr. Murabito has served as Interim President at Sullivan County Community College. Between June 2006 and July 2009, Dr. Murabito served as Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at SUNYIT. Other campus experiences include Director of Financial Aid at Mohawk Valley Community College, Vice President for Student Affairs at SUNYIT, Interim President at SUNY Cobleskill, and Interim President at Rockland County Community College. At System Administration, Dr. Murabito served as Associate Vice Chancellor/Provost Office, Executive Director for University Technology Colleges, Associate Vice Chancellor for University Life and Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs.
