Subject:	Naming of Dr. Sheila Johnson Applied Design Center � College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville


	I recommend that the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution:

	Resolved that the naming of the Dr. Sheila Johnson Applied Design Center be, and hereby is, approved.

Background

	In recognition of her generous gifts to the College of Agriculture and Technology at Morrisville, which exceed $2 million, the resolution approves the naming of the new Applied Design Center in honor of Dr. Sheila Johnson.

	Dr. Johnson�s gifts have funded scholarships, academic enrichment and cultural activities, and leadership and character development programs for under-represented and economically disadvantaged students.  Both the Morrisville College Foundation and college council support the naming.
