Subject:	Naming of C.N. Yang Hall and Paul C. Lauterbur Hall � State University of New York at Stony Brook


	I recommend that the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution:

	Resolved that the naming of two new undergraduate residence halls at the State University of New York at Stony Brook as C.N. Yang  Hall and Paul C. Lauterbur  Hall be, and hereby are, approved.

Background

	In recognition of more than   $2.1 million raised or given by Dr. C.N. Yang and Dr. Paul C. Lauterbur, two former Stony Brook faculty, scientists and Nobel Prize Winners, the resolution approves the naming of two new undergraduate residence halls as the C.N Yang Hall and Paul C. Lauterbur Hall, respectively.
