Bringsjord as Associate Provost for Academic Programs and Assessment, Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs � System Administration I recommend that the Board of Trustees adopt the following resolution: Resolved that Elizabeth L. Bringsjord be, and hereby is, appointed Associate Provost for Academic Programs and Assessment, Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, System Administration, at a salary of $135,000, effective January 19, 2010. Background Elizabeth L. Bringsjord holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Educational Psychology and Statistics (dual concentration: Measurement & Evaluation; and Learning & Development) from the University at Albany, along with a M.S. in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Nursing from Boston University. Dr. Bringsjord has over 20 years of experience in higher education, as a faculty member and administrator�at both public and private institutions, including eleven years at SUNY System Administration. In 2008, following a national search, Dr. Bringsjord was appointed Senior Assistant Provost to lead the Office of Academic Programs, Planning and Assessment. In that capacity, she is responsible for the System Provost Office review of all academic program developments. Noteworthy among her accomplishments has been her leadership role working with SED to streamline and coordinate program review and registration, supporting campus efforts to adapt quickly to change. During her tenure at SUNY, Dr. Bringsjord has led several efforts to enhance academic quality, expand access and ensure accountability. She was recruited to SUNY to be the project manager for first cycle of Mission Review�a system-wide academic strategic planning effort, nationally recognized in the area of quality assurance; oversaw the enrollment planning group; spearheaded SUNY�s system-wide peer analytic efforts, a key component of the second round of Mission Review; and served as principal writer for the two most recent SUNY Master Plans (2000-2004 and 2004-2008). In 2007-08, Elizabeth was one of five SUNY staff members loaned to the Governor�s Commission on Higher Education. In addition to supporting the Commission�s examination of NYS higher education in the context of historical and national trends, Dr. Bringsjord was tasked to serve as principal writer of the preliminary and final reports. In recognition of her outstanding service to the State University of New York, Dr. Bringsjord was honored as the System Administration recipient of the Chancellor�s Award for Excellence in Service in June 2008.
